Today I started my Saturday with a 6 mile walk for March of dimes. We cut out super bad junk food and have been doing pretty good. We definitely have a lot more work to do and could still be eating healthier but we've been doing better. 6 miles sounded long but once my friend and I got to chatting the time flew by. We have a birthday party later today and I'm going to try to be good and stick to water and no junk food while we are there. We're going to eat before we go so hopefully that will help the temptation. Hoping tonight we will get a workout in and continue doing awesome. I feel like I haven't given it my all this week and could be doing way better. Today I feel more motivated then ever and feel like I can do this!! We had two days this week where we felt too tired and lazy to work out and I am super disappointed in us. We have so many exciting things coming up (like our wedding!!) that I'm hoping gives us some extra encouragement. We have a little under two months till summer, if we really push ourselves through working out and eating healthy I feel like we can be feeling great by summer and be able to fully enjoy ourselves without feeling self conscious. Time for a change!
Monday April 21st. Enough is enough, we have been talking about losing weight and being healthier for over a year, we need to make a change! I sent a message to Scott telling him when he gets home we are downloading insanity and making a lifestyle change TODAY!! Being the supportive guy he is, and also wanting to be healthier he agreed! So sure enough, he got home from work and downloaded all the insanity workout videos, took before pictures and we did the first video. All I have to say is THANK GOD we don't have cameras in our house! Wow was that embarrassing. Not only could we barley get through the workout, we looked absolutely ridiculous!! But the point is we did it. We wanted to change and we did it, our first day of working out done. The next couple days we were definitely very sore. But I was so happy that we had started this new lifestyle change and our boys were seeing us living a healthier lifestyle. It's going to be a long road, but at least we started. A little about me:
I had my oldest son before I met my fiancé, and together we had our youngest. I have had body issues my whole life, but I am currently at my largest. I've wanted to change for so long and be happy with my body but my fiancé and I both love yummy food and sweets. It definitely doesn't help that we are a block away from 7-Eleven, with Slurpie's and all sorts of amazing snacks. I am 27 and have a nine-year-old and an almost 1-year-old. I currently am staying home with our kids, but it's definitely a struggle financially and I'm not sure how much longer I will be able to do it. I feel so blessed to have been able to stay home with our youngest boy for this year though. I don't only want to go on a diet temporarily, I want to make a lifestyle change. I want to work out and eat healthy forever, not just until I reach my goals. Now for my goals, I want to lose about 55 pounds, and tone up a lot. But most importantly I want my body to be healthy. One of my biggest struggles is portion control, if something is good I will keep eating and eating and eating until it's gone. Another struggle is self control, if it's delicious and it's in my house I'm going to eat it. So here goes nothing! So excited to start this journey. If you have any questions, just ask :)
